OUR HELP THROUGH TODAY'S ECONOMIC FINANCIAL CRISIS. USA is quickly becoming a very modified version of itself. On an inner-personal level this looks like all the recapitulation we are all doing in our lives currently. Stepping off of our last newsletter's theme, this is the era of dynamic breakdown and truth. What to do when the sky seems to be actually falling, Chicken Little? Yes, it is finally arrived ... the sky is truly beginning its descent around us, and what are we doing about it? Well, hopefully we're paying attention to the vast healing opportunities surrounding us and recognizing them for their divine reflection in our lives. Realize that you are the central point to your YOUniverse and that every single thing you are, think, feel and do is you. Momma Bird is kicking the babies out of the nest and saying, "It's time to fly, Little Ones, time to spread your wings and fly." To loosely translate, Buddha's saying, "Our institutions are of our own making, our own creation." Hope you get this one.

 AUTUMN HOLIDAY RECIPES
These are some of my all-time favorite recipes ... I think you'll love these and will welcome them into your holiday events! As much as possible, please cook or bake with organic or locally grown organic ingredients.
 Banana Nut Loaf Quick Bread
Double this recipe and freeze a loaf; quick breads freeze easily.
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup shortening (I use coconut oil for an amazingly awesome taste)
1/2 cup sugar (raw is best)
2 organic brown eggs
1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
2 ripe medium bananas, cut up
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (or chocolate chips; and then cut back a bit on the sugar)
Lightly grease a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan, set aside. In mixing bowl thoroughly stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and soda, set aside. In small bowl mash bananas with fork (should have aboug 1 cup); stir in milk. Add flour mixture and banana mixture alternately to creamed mixture. Beat til smooth after each addition. Fold in nuts and/or chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in a 350° F oven for 45 to 50 minutes or till wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Turn out and cool in wire rack. Makes 1 loaf.
Mom's Apple Crisp
3 cups apples, diced
2 cups sugar
1-1/2 cups olive or coconut oil
2 organic brown large eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup walnut meats
3 cups flour
Mix together everything at once; this will be very stiff. Pour into a large glass baking dish, greased and floured. Bake for 1 hour at 350° F. No frosting needed. Serves a crowd (10).
Berries with Warm Sherry Sabayon
Choose the ripest and sweetest berries available.
1 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 pint mixed berries, cuh as blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries, hulled and quartered if necessary
3 large brown organic egg yolks
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons sherry over berries; let stand, tossing gently once or twice, for about 30 minutes. Combine remaining 3 tablespoons sugar, 1/3 cup sherry, and egg yolks in a small bowl; whisk together. Set bowl over pan of simmering water, and continue whisking until tripled in volume. Frothy, and warm to the touch, 6 to 8 minutes. Serve berries and sabayon together. Serves 4.
Harvest Pumpkin Pie
1 pie crust (see recipe below) or use already prepared pie crust
1 teaspoon flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
16-oz. can (2 cups) pumpkin
5-oz. can (2/3 cup) evaporated milk
2 large brown organic eggs, beaten
8-oz. (3 cups) heavy cream
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
Pie Crust
2/3 cup + 2 Tablespoons shortening
2 cups flour
1 tespoon salt
Cut all three ingredients in together. Mix in 4-5 Tablespoons of water (use as little water as possible to roll easy.) Pray! Roll out on floured counter. Flip crust 1/2 way through rolling. Use water to repair torn crust. Makes 1-2 crusts. Thanks to Barb & Kathy Bauman!
Prepare pie crust. Preheat oven to 425° F. In large bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, salt, cloves, pumpkin, evaporated milk and eggs; blend well. Whip heavy cream till thick and stiff. Fold 1-1/2 cups wipping cream into pumpkin mixture. Pour into pie crust lined pan. Bake at 425° F for 15 minutes. Reduce oven tempoerature to 350° F; continue baking 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes ut clean. Cool. In small bowl, fold sour cream into remaining whipped cream; dollop on cooled pie. 8 servings.
